Carsten Pohlmann
Our CTO, Dr.-Ing. Carsten Pohlmann, is at the forefront of technical and market-oriented development in Europe.
With over 12 years of experience in hydrogen technology and more than 7 years in the field of start-ups, he is an experienced leader in business development, IP and market strategy, and fuel cell technology.
He has been a board member at HZwo e.V. since 2023 and has been leading the technical committee at Hydrogen Europe for over 4 years.

Europe plays a key role in the development and implementation of hydrogen technologies with the Chemnitz region in particular. As a central innovation region of the transformation towards a sustainable energy future, Chemnitz combines a variety of factors that make it an ideal hub for innovation and growth in this area.
The region benefits from its highly developed research landscape with renowned institutes and universities. Hence, it plays a leading role in R&D, but also in education and training of hydrogen technologies. In addition, a dense supplier network and companies along the entire value chain ensure that Chemnitz offers the necessary infrastructure and expertise for the development of a hydrogen-based economy. One of the four national hydrogen centers is located here further strengthening the region and enhancing importance at European and international level.
It is not only technological and economic aspects that make Chemnitz an attractive location.
